Te Pua Reserve
Te Pua Reserve is located on the edge of the crystal clear, azure blue waters of Pārengarenga Harbour. It is adjacent to our farm. The reserve offers up spectacular views of the harbour, harbour entrance and the white silica sands of Kokota Spit. It is a renowned recreational fishing location for both sea and land-based fishers. It is referred to by the local communities of Te Kao and Te Hapua as "the cupboard."

Te Pua Reserve, also known as Pārengarenga B3A block, is 8.5 hectares in extent. It was set aside as a Māori Reservation on 1 August 1973. The purpose was for it to be a recreational area, camping site and fishing reserve for the enjoyment of "the people of Te Kao and Te Hapua."
Over the summer months, the Reserve is a popular tourist, camping and fishing destination because of the easy access to the harbour via a concrete boat ramp. The campground is closed to the public over the winter months.
